Overview
The whitelisting process determines which Telegram groups or channels AlphaSum may read for the purpose of generating summaries. This design ensures that users retain granular control over their privacy and content exposure. Without explicit user confirmation, the bot does not, nor is it capable of, accessing unapproved chats.
Principle of Least Privilege
AlphaSum’s architecture is built on a model wherein the bot gains visibility into user-selected groups exclusively, thus mitigating the risk of unauthorized data collection.
No Need for Administrative Rights
In contrast to some other Telegram integrations, AlphaSum does not need to be added to a group as a bot entity nor require administrative privileges. Instead, it relies on the user’s own Telegram session, thereby preserving the privacy and control of group owners and members.
